Facial Cosmetic Surgical Procedures

Dr. Taylor offers a number of cosmetic and facial rejuvenation procedures in our beautiful surgical suite at Vitality. All procedures are performed under local anesthetic with the patient awake and comfortable. Medications can be prescribed pre operatively to help you relax and enjoy the experience.

At Vitality we also offer Pro-Nox, a nitrous oxide delivery system (otherwise known as laughing gas). This is a safe, inhalable anesthetic that eases pain and anxiety. It works quickly and completely wears off within minutes, giving the patient a sense of control throughout the process.

Dr. Taylor meets with every patient and preforms a thorough consultation pre-operatively. This allows patients to discuss their goals and expectations. Dr. Taylor will work with you to create a customized treatment plan to meet your goals. Our objective is to provide patients with a relaxing and enjoyable experience while optimizing beautiful results, safety, and patient satisfaction.

Mole Removal

Cosmetic removal can be performed to eliminate unsightly or bothersome moles. If any concerns exist that the mole or lesion may be skin cancer, Dr. Taylor will require a referral from a primary care physician to assess and treat this issue.

Scar Revision

Facial scars can be difficult to treat despite a number of options in creams, lasers, etc. Surgery can often be performed to hide, reposition, and improve the appearance of scars.

Upper Lid Blepharoplasty

Otherwise known as an eyelid lift, this procedure targets the excess skin of the upper eyelids. Dr. Taylor surgically removes the excess skin and occasionally fat, giving the eyes a refreshed and rested look. This takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.

Temporal/Direct Brow Lift

This procedure is performed through a small incision in the temporal hairline, and occasionally the forehead hairline. The outer portion of the eyebrow is lifted to improve the appearance of the lid/brow unit. This procedure can be performed in isolation or in conjunction with an upper lid blepharoplasty. This procedure takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete.

External Browpexy

This is a minimally invasive procedure to raise the outer eyebrow. This is performed as an isolated procedure or in conjunction with upper lid blepharoplasty to improve the appearance of the lid/brow unit. This procedure uses a 1 cm incision just above the outer corner of each eyebrow. It has minimal downtime and can be an excellent option in the right patient. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Otolplasty

Otherwide known as ear pinning, otoplasty serves to improve the shape or position of prominent ears. This procedure  may be performed via incision-less otoplasty (no cuts on the skin) or a traditional approach, depending on the appearance of your ears. This procedure has minimal downtime and offers dramatic results for patients with prominent ears. This procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes per ear to complete.

Modified Upper Lip Lift

Using the modified deep plane upper lip lift approach Dr. Taylor shortens the philtrum (the skin between the nose and the red lip). This results in plump, pretty appearing lips and restores youthful facial harmony. This procedure also reduces or eliminates the need for upper lip filler and avoids the duck-lip appearance occasionally associated with lip filler. This procedure takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.

Ear Lobule Repair/Contouring

Earlobes can become stretched or elongated over time giving the ear a larger or aged appearance. Occasionally earrings or stretchers will leave the lobule with a tear or wide hole. This can be repaired to a normal size and shape that can be re-pierced after healing. This procedure takes approximately 20 minutes per side to complete.

Submentoplasty

Submentoplasty, or under-chin tightening is a procedure often performed in conjunction with submental liposuction. This procedure addresses the platysma muscle that deficient in the midline beneath the chin.  After the fat is removed with liposuction, the muscle is brought together to tighten underneath the chin. This procedure has minimal downtime and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
